Three Deer Thai Chili Powder is made of 100% Thai chilis, also known as Bird's Eye Chili. They are dried and ground into different grain sizes, from coarse to fine. A Thai chili pepper is green when immature and turns red as it matures. Thai Chili Powder has aggressive heat that settles on the tongue and lingers. It’s a bit hotter than a cayenne and generally about half as hot as a habanero. It is about 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville units, which puts it between a jalapeño and a habanero pepper on the heat scale.
