Khanom Pui Fai (Thai Steamed Cupcake) is a traditional Thai dessert that is often served on auspicious occasions such as a job promotion. It has its name because it expands like cotton wool when steamed. The texture of the cake is very light and fluffy like cotton. It is also a very common street food in Thailand.

*One package will make about 30 plus medium size cakes. You want to make them into light pastel colors. The colors will turn out a lot brighter after steamed, so be gentle with the colors.
