The story of Cole's Puddings began in 1939 in Essex, England, when Albert J. Cole started making traditional British puddings and cakes using treasured recipes from his great-grandmother's recipe book. What began as a small family bakery, producing delicious homemade treats for local customers, gradually grew into a respected name in British pudding-making.
Nearly 50 years later, Albert's son, Chris Cole, expanded the family business and moved production to a specially built craft bakery in the picturesque village of Great Chesterford, Essex. In 2010, Cole's joined the Wilkin & Sons family of businesses, the renowned British company behind Tiptree preserves. Today, Cole's continues its tradition of crafting delicious British puddings using time-honored recipes, carefully selected ingredients, and traditional methods.
With more than 85 years of pudding-making heritage, Cole's brings a little piece of British history and holiday tradition to every table.
