Sweet Tamarind is a favorite snack among Thai People. There are 2 types of fresh tamarinds, Sour Tamarind and Sweet Tamarind. The Sour Tamarind is mostly used for cooking and drinks, but the Sweet Tamarind is eaten as fruit snack.
King Tamarind is made from selected fresh sweet tamarind whole pods tossed with light sugar and a little salt. Each pods contain seeds which are not meant to be eaten. Tamarind is also known as a natural laxative. It makes a great gift!
